California Will Recognize Other States' Gay Nuptials

The bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger recognizes same-sex marriages that took place in other states before the passage of Proposition 8.

SACRAMENTO - The legal question left open in the California Supreme Court's ruling on gay marriage was resolved this week, when Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed legislation that will recognize same-sex marriages that took place in other states before last year's passage of Proposition 8.
