SAN FRANCISCO - As budget cuts increase the risk of criminal court backlogs statewide, the California Supreme Court this week granted review in two cases dismissed for lack of a courtroom.
Both came out of Riverside County, where judges have been forced to dismiss hundreds of cases due to missed trial deadlines - more than any other county in the state.
