SAN FRANCISCO - Firearms advocates battled local lawmakers who want to keep gun shows off county property Thursday at oral argument before an 11-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Each side found something to dispute in the circuit's April decision affirming Alameda County's right to ban gun shows at the county fairgrounds. Nordyke v. King, 563 F.3rd 439 (April 20, 2009).
