PUC Offers Alternative to PG&E's Reorganization Plan

SAN FRANCISCO - The state Public Utilities Commission on Tuesday demanded a voice in the reorganization of Pacific Gas and Electric Co., asking a U.S. bankruptcy judge to let the agency file its own plan for repaying PG&E's creditors while retaining state regulation over key operations.
