SAN FRANCISCO - Judge Joseph Tyree Sneed doesn't have much interest in tort law, but let a slip of tax code catch his eye and you've got his attention. "[Tax law] has a symmetry and a logic about it that always appealed to me," said Sneed, 81, a senior judge of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
