Judicial Council Approves Limits on Online Public Access

SAN FRANCISCO - Asserting that complete Internet access to court records threatens personal privacy and makes the courts unwitting "purveyors" of sensitive information, the state Judicial Council voted Tuesday to limit the amount of court data available to the public online.
