Solano County's district attorney steps down early after losing reelection bid

With about five months left in his term, Don du Bain is moving to the San Francisco district attorney's office next week. It's not clear who will fill his shoes until Deputy District Attorney Krishna Abrams is sworn into office in January.

Solano County is looking for an interim district attorney after the current one abruptly announced he was stepping down about five months early after losing a primary fight to one of his deputies.


Donald A. du Bain said last week that he had accepted a job as a felony prosecutor in San Francisco.
