Judge rules OC DA's office committed serious misconduct with use of informants

Law enforcement's misuse of jailhouse informants in Orange County was serious misconduct but not malicious, a judge has ruled. The DA's office can continue to seek the death penalty against the Seal Beach salon killer.

SANTA ANA - Orange County prosecutors committed serious misconduct involving jailhouse informants in the case of the worst mass killer in county history, a judge ruled Monday.
