Nationwide bar exam computer meltdown leaves California applicants unscarred

California bar examinees largely escaped the worst of a computer problem that stymied applicants in dozens of other states unable to upload their answers to Tuesday's essay exams.

The computer problem that kept bar exam-takers nationwide from filing their essay answers Tuesday evening appears not to have affected California applicants significantly, according to State Bar officials.
