More than a dozen candidates vying for Central District US attorney post

LOS ANGELES - The process to find the next U.S. attorney for the Central District is in full swing, with multiple sources confirming that more than a dozen candidates have applied to succeed Andre Birotte Jr., who's leaving to take a federal district court judgeship.
