Gibson advises Aecom in $6 billion acquisition of SF engineering company

A planned $6 billion tieup of two California-based engineering and construction firms would create the largest publicly traded company within the Los Angeles city limits.

In a year dominated by major acquisitions, several large firms - led by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP - pulled off a $6 billion deal that reinforces their dominance in M&A transactions, this time on behalf of a Los Angeles-based company.


Gibson Dunn represented Aecom Technology Corp.in its acquisition of its San Francisco rival, URS Corp., in a deal announced Sunday.
