Apple wins early round of smart phone battle against HTC

Apple Inc. has won an early round in its patent infringement battle with HTC Corp. over cell phones that use Google Inc.'s popular Android operating system.

Apple Inc. has won a preliminary round in its patent infringement battle with HTC Corp. over cell phones that use Google Inc.'s Android operating system.


A U.S. International Trade Commission judge on Friday ruled that HTC infringed two Apple patents, raising the possibility that HTC could be barred from importing some of its Android-powered phones as well as a tablet computers into the country....
