Faced with budget cuts, San Joaquin County to stop hearing small claims

Faced with severe cuts, San Joaquin County Supreme Court will be closing courtrooms and will stop hearing small claims altogether.

With crippling budget cuts on the way, San Joaquin County Superior Court plans to shutter courtrooms in Lodi and Tracy.


But the court is also poised for an even more dramatic move: doing away with small claims cases altogether.
