Groups forward courts budget cuts ideas

Trial courts would see their budgets slashed by 15.2 percent in 2012-13 under a proposal adopted Wednesday by a group of trial and appellate court judges and court executive officers.

A group of judges and court executive officers charged with making recommendations on how the judiciary should absorb $350 million in budget cuts adopted almost all of the suggestions put forth by the state Administrative Office of the Courts.
