Judiciary Angles For Wish List

The judiciary's lobbyists have given lawmakers a wish list of demands they would like to see met if the Legislature cuts the judiciary's budget by $150 million, as is widely expected to happen.

SACRAMENTO - Gov. Jerry Brown threw his support behind a budget proposal Monday that, similar to a previous plan he had vetoed, includes a $150 million permanent cut to the judiciary.


The budget also assumes the judiciary will delay all courthouse construction projects by one year and that the state will take $300 million from the courthouse construction fund and give it to the state's general fun...
