Google Confirms FTC Probe

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has launched a formal antitrust review of Google Inc.'s search and advertising business practices, the company confirmed Friday in a government filing.

Google Inc. confirmed Friday that it is facing a formal U.S. Federal Trade Commission antitrust review of its search and advertising business practices, saying in a government filing that it received a subpoena and notice of civil investigative demand.
