Appeals Court Reinstates Gateway Execs' Verdicts

Two former senior officers of computer giant Gateway Inc. took a legal hit Thursday as a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel restored jury verdicts for securities fraud that had been thrown out by the trial judge.

Two former senior officers of computer giant Gateway Inc. took a legal hit Thursday as a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel restored jury verdicts for securities fraud that had been thrown out by the trial judge.


The circuit panel also reversed the judge's pretrial dismissal from the case of a third defendant, former Gateway Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Weitzen.
