Veteran Los Angeles Judge to Retire

After nearly 29 years on the bench, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge John P. Shook has decided to hang up his robes. Shook, 72, will leave the bench Thursday.

LOS ANGELES - After nearly 29 years on the bench, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge John P. Shook has decided to hang up his robe.


"I want to walk out of the building as opposed to being taken out on a gurney," Shook quipped.
