Millennium Holdings LLC paid $8.7 million to 10 California counties and cities to be dismissed from a lawsuit over the marketing of lead paint pigment, lawyers representing the jurisdictions announced Thursday.
In the public nuisance abatement suit, county counsel and city attorneys jointly allege that multiple defendants, Millennium among them, promoted the lead-based pigments despite knowledge of the products' health risks.
