Consumer attorneys sponsor seven state bills

The headliner is a Senate bill that would bar the use of forced arbitration when a financial institution has committed fraud or identify theft. Introduced in December on the first day of the new legislative year, SB 33 is inspired by the creation of fraudulent accounts by employees of Wells Fargo.
