State Bar extends lobbying contracts on short-term basis

The contracts will still be held by Jennifer Wada and Mark Weideman, who are married, as the bar completes processes to award new agreements.

The State Bar has extended on a month-to-month basis its two outside lobbying contracts held by a husband and wife as the agency completes processes to award new agreements.

The contracts, which expired at the end of January, cost the bar up to $21,500 a month and $258,000 annually.
