Criminal defense attorney sentenced to two years for not paying taxes

Santa Barbara sole practitioner Darryl W. Genis is to spend two years in federal prison for failing to pay taxes on $3.5 million he earned over eight years practicing criminal defense.

A Santa Barbara sole practitioner is to spend two years in federal prison for failing to pay taxes on $3.5 million he earned over eight years practicing criminal defense.

Darryl W. Genis has until May 15 to begin serving a 24-month sentence for three misdemeanor counts of willfully failing to file tax returns.
