Attorneys prepare for wave of construction defect cases

William Naumann, principal of the Naumann Law Firm, said "it's probably safe to say we will see an increase [in construction defect litigation] over the next 24 months. There's going to be a lot of infill development that will have issues."

As construction defect cases targeting condominium complexes built more than 10 years ago are getting resolved, local attorneys are preparing for the next wave of problems.

For San Diego attorney Mickey McGuire, a principal with the law firm Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire, the next wave has already arrived with the recent damage to the city's storm drains and large diameter pipes.
