Legislative committee to review declining bar exam passage rate

The chairman of the Assembly Judiciary Committee said he wants to find out why the state has such a stringent passing score.

The Assembly Judiciary Committee wants to learn more about the declining passage rate on the California bar exam.

During a hearing on Tuesday, committee members are expected to receive information and inquire about possible explanations for the reduced success rate and whether changes to the exam should be made.
