On-set jokes were free speech, panel finds

Comments made by actor Marlon Wayans were part of the creative process, says appellate court.

Comedian Marlon Wayans' comments on a film set about a supposed resemblance between one of the film's actors and a character from the cartoon "Family Guy" were protected free speech as part of the film's creative process, a 2nd District Court of Appeal panel ruled Thursday.
