San Francisco challenges sanctuary city executive order

City Attorney Dennis Herrera contends the executive order violates the Tenth Amendment.

San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration Tuesday, claiming an executive order limiting federal funding to sanctuary cities is "a blatant disregard of the law."

San Francisco is seeking declaratory and injunctive relief against the U.S., arguing that the order is unconstitutional and exceeds the president's power.
