M & A: MANUGISTICS ACQUIRES WESTERN DATA SYSTEMS
Manugistics Group Inc. has acquired Western Data Systems Inc. in a deal announced May 6. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Rockville, Md.'s Manugistics produces and sells revenue and pricing software. Its NetWORKS software allows customers to coordinate manufacturing and logistics through the Internet, aiding the customer in distribution, manufacturing, purchasing and transportation. Its clients include DuPont and Cisco Systems Inc.
