New bill aims to steer more judges to Riverside, San Bernardino counties

The Inland Empire may be a step closer to gaining four new judges after the Assembly Judiciary Committee passed AB 414 by a 11-0 vote on Tuesday.

SACRAMENTO — The Inland Empire may be a step closer to gaining four new judges after the Assembly Judiciary Committee passed AB 414 by a 11-0 vote on Tuesday.

The bill would reallocate the unfilled judge positions from two counties deemed to have the lowest need, Alameda and Santa Clara, to the counties of highest need, Riverside and San Bernardino.
