Yahoo hacker was indicted before

One of the hackers hit with an indictment for allegedly participating in cyberattacks against Yahoo Inc. was already well known to Department of Justice investigators in the Northern District because this isn't the first time they have filed charges against him.

SAN FRANCISCO — One of four Russians indicted Wednesday on charges of participating in a massive cyberattack on Yahoo's servers already faced other hacking charges in the North District.

Alexsey Belan was hit with dual indictments in California and Nevada in 2014 for allegedly hacking into e-commerce companies in 2012 and 2013.
