LA judge considers proposed class for keyless Toyota car customers

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge Monday questioned common issues regarding a bid to certify a class of customers who say Toyota Motor Corp. failed to warn that its keyless cars are prone to rolling away.

LOS ANGELES — A superior court judge has taken under submission a bid to certify a class of customers who say Toyota Motor Corp. failed to warn that its keyless cars are prone to rolling away and other safety hazards.

Toyota attorneys argued in Monday's hearing that a small number of customers had problems due to human error and the proposed class is too broad.
