1st District Court of Appeal will soon have two vacancies
Justice James R. Lambden of the 1st District Court of Appeal has told colleagues he plans to step down from the bench in August, creating two vacancies at the San Francisco-based appellate court.

SAN FRANCISCO - Justice James R. Lambden of the 1st District Court of Appeal has told colleagues he plans to step down from the bench in July, creating a second vacancy at the San Francisco-based appellate court.
"I think he's too young to retire," said Justice J. Anthony Kline, presiding justice of the court's Division 2, on which Lambden sits.
