Hogan Lovells partner receives award from GLAAD for service
Hogan Lovells partner Dean Hansell was awarded the first Founders Award from The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) at the 24th Annual Media Awards for his 27 years of service to the organization. During the ceremony, Former President Bill Clinton, who gave the keynote address, identified Hansell in his remarks, saying that the Hogan Lovells LLP partner is "really deserving" of the honor.Hansell was one of the co-founders of GLAAD/LA, serving as its co-president for three years. Early on, the GLAAD hotline, which provided people with an outlet for reporting incidents of media defamation, was run out of his house.
