Paul Hastings, Sidley guide $495 million collaboration

Paul Hastings LLP and Sidley Austin LLP represented Avalon Ventures and GlaxoSmithKline PLC, respectively, in a deal lawyers say bodes well for the struggling life science industry.

Paul Hastings LLP and Sidley Austin LLP represented La Jolla-based early-stage venture capital firm Avalon Ventures and U.K. pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline PLC, or GSK, respectively, in a $495 million collaboration between the companies, a deal announced Monday.
