Frenkel's legal career owes its genesis to a patent he was lead inventor on while working as an engineer at General Electric Co. in 1993.


"The patent had to do with aircraft engine control systems," Frenkel said. "I worked with the patent lawyer in drafting the patent, and that's where I first started to get an interest in it, and I decided to go back to law school to become the sort of lawyer that drafts patent applications for a living....
