Wilson Sonsini: LSI LOGIC STORAGE ACQUIRES PRIVATE SOFTWARE BUSINESS

LSI Logic Storage Systems Inc. has completed its acquisition of Syntax Inc. The transaction is valued at $58 million. Milpitas' LSI Logic Storage Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of LSI Logic Corp., develops highly scalable storage solutions that can be deployed anywhere within an enterprise. Its storage systems and management software are offered under the MetaStor brand name.
