Lewis Brisbois forced out of LA office after massive fire next door

Lawyers work from home after the fire guts an adjacent development under construction.

One of Los Angeles' largest law firms, Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, has closed its downtown office indefinitely after a massive fire overnight destroyed a seven-story residential development under construction nearby. The firm, which employs more than 500 people in its downtown office, including about 265 attorneys, said Monday its lawyers are still serving clients but are working remotely. <...
