Courts, lawyers optimistic about new state Senate leader

Darrell Steinberg's replacement, Los Angeles lawmaker Kevin DeLeon, may yet prove a sympathetic ear for tort attorneys, and is drawing a reservedly optimistic appraisal from backers of increased court funding.
