Environmentalists launch new attack against state to rein in fracking

The state should have conducted an environmental review of more than 200 drilling permits near Bakersfield, claim the Sierra Club and others in a lawsuit filed Thursday.

Environmentalists renewed their attacks on fracking in California, filing a lawsuit Thursday alleging the state failed to look at the harms from issuing more than 200 oil drilling permits near Bakersfield in the past year.
