SAN FRANCISCO - The White House Thursday nominated white-collar litigator Melinda L. Haag to be the next U.S. attorney for the Northern District of California.
Haag, a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe's San Francisco office, would replace Bush administration holdover Joseph P. Russoniello and be the only woman to hold the position in the district in more than 90 years...
