High Court Will Test Patent Law
WASHINGTON - In a case with huge potential ramifications for the world of patent law, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday agreed to decide whether a federal court should have issued a permanent injunction against eBay after a jury found that the California-based online auction company had infringed on a Virginia company's e-commerce patent.
