LOS ANGELES - A civil-rights activist and former editor of the L.A. Focus newspaper filed a wrongful-termination lawsuit Thursday alleging that, at the urging of Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., newspaper management fired him because his political preferences differed from hers.
