SAN DIEGO - Shopping center owners and brokers invited to address San Diego members of NAIOP, the commercial real estate development association, reported that rents are down and vacancies up, but tenants are looking around in Southern California again. The San Diego chapter of NAIOP hosted the panel on Feb. 25 at the San Diego Marriott Del Mar. Don Moser, a founding partner of San Diego-based brokerage Retail Insite, said leasing activity grew stronger last year across all store categories as retailers began searches for new locations where they couldn't find space in Southern California when they looked five years ago.
