Open Seats Spur Fierce Competition

The June 8 judicial election will pit a third-time candidate against a veteran Los Angeles Superior Court judge, a transactional attorney against a civil judge and a Hollywood lawyer against a family law jurist.

LOS ANGELES - The June 8 judicial election will pit a third-time candidate against a veteran Los Angeles Superior Court judge, a transactional attorney against a civil judge and a Hollywood lawyer against a family law jurist.

Competition is tight for the three races where incumbent judges Emily Stevens, William Weisman and William Pounders have not filed for re-election.
