SANTA ANA - In an insurance win for victims of floods, attorneys from Irell & Manella landed a $24.3 million settlement from insurers for the owner of two casinos thrashed by Hurricane Katrina. The latest settlement, filed with a federal court Tuesday, brings the casino owner's total recovery to more than $215 million.
