LOS ANGELES - Completion of jury deliberations has failed to resolve Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi's confusing civil case against French billionaire Francois Pinault and his holding company, Artemis.
In a federal lawsuit in Los Angeles, Garamendi accused Pinault and Artemis of helping French bank Credit Lyonnais hide its acquisition of Executive Life Insurance Co. in the early 1990s.
