NAPA - Other judicial officers have risen from blue-collar backgrounds, but Napa County Superior Court Commissioner Michael S. Williams' road to the bench was longer than most. Williams, despite having a master's degree from UC Berkeley, took a job in a machine shop, where he toiled for nine tedious years.
