High Court Declines to Review 'Cheers' Right-of-Publicity Case

WASHINGTON - The battle over the "Cheers" robots finally is going to trial - if it doesn't settle first. The Supreme Court Monday rejected a bid by Paramount Pictures Corp. and Host International Inc. to end a right-of-publicity suit against them by actors George Wendt and John Ratzenberger, who played Norm and Cliff in the long-running TV series.
