Judge Bans Homeless Sweeps on Skid Row
LOS ANGELES - A federal judge has temporarily banned the Los Angeles Police Department from conducting further parole and probation sweeps of the downtown Skid Row district, finding that the practice appears to violate the Fourth Amendment rights of those being searched.
