Union 'Salting' Leaves Employers With Few Options

Abrahms - The Bureau of Labor Statistics, in "Union Trends and Data: U.S. Union Membership, 1948-2000," reports that, at just 8.5 percent, organized labor's share of the private work force is at an all-time low . Attempting to save dwindling coffers, unions are using "salting" more since the U.S. Supreme Court sanctioned the tactic in National Labor Relations Board v. Town & Country Electric Inc. , 516 U.S. 85 (1995).
