EQUAL PAY ACT
On Sept, 30, Gov. Jerry Brown signed Senate Bill 1063 by State Sen. Isadore Hall and Assembly Bill 1676 by Assemblywoman Nora Campos. SB 1063 expands last year's Equal Pay Act (EPA) to include a new basis for wage equality, while AB 1676 prohibits employers from basing an employee's pay on prior salary alone.
